EQUIPMENT
Foundry IO uses professional desktop-class machines.
That means lower cost parts, faster turnarounds, and constant improvement, all without sacrificing quality.
High-detail & Engineering
With our Formlabs Form 4 mSLA printers, we produce parts in a wide range of materials. From general purpose resins to engineering resins, we can produce parts suitable for design and “looks-like” projects as well as parts with properties similar to ABS, PE, PP, TPU, silicone, and PEEK. Specialty materials including ESD and high temp resin can also be used.
Formlabs Form 4
The Form 4 is our workhorse machine. Using masked SLA, the new print engine dramatically reduces print times while maintaining crisp detail and dimensional accuracy. This allows us to prototype and produce parts in hours rather than days. We stock nearly all of the engineering resins, but if you’re looking for a particular material and we don’t have it in stock, we have a local distribution partner and can have it in-house within a day.

Formlabs Form 4L (offered through local manufacturing partner)
The Form 4L is a beast of a machine with a build volume nearly 5 times that of the Form 4! It can print truly giant parts at the same resolution as the Form 4 and in nearly all of the same resins. If you need large parts, or are batch printing a large number of items, this is the machine they’ll be printed on.
Although we have plans to bring a Form 4L in-house, prints on this machine are currently offered through a local manufacturing partner. The turnaround time for these parts is typically 1-2 weeks.
Build Volume
353 × 196 × 350 mm (13.9 x 7.7 x 13.8 in)

Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W (offered through local manufacturing partner)
The Fuse 1+ 30W is Formlabs’ entry into SLS 3D printing, and it makes quite the impression! The Fuse 1+ 30W currently prints in Nylon 11, Nylon 12, and TPU with glass-filled and carbon fiber-filled variants of the Nylon offering. Depending on the application, the Fuse 1+ is capable of using up to 70% recycled material resulting in lower cost parts.
We aren’t quite ready to bring the Fuse 1+ in-house, so we currently offer SLS printing through a local manufacturing partner. The turnaround time for these parts is typically 1-2 weeks.

Composites
Nothing comes close to matching the performance of a composite print from a Markforged Mark Two or X7 printer at a comparable price. The Mark Two and X7 machines print parts in a nylon/chopped carbon fiber composite and then reinforce those parts with continuous fiber: Kevlar®, fiberglass, and carbon fiber.
Markforged Mark Two
The Markforged Mark Two is a desktop-class, industrial-quality 3D printer which prints parts in a nylon/chopped carbon fiber composite called Onyx, and can reinforce parts with continuous fiberglass, Kevlar®, and carbon fiber. For parts which require impact resistance, durability, or strength on par with aluminum, the Mark Two is our go-to machine.
Build Volume
320 x 132 x 154 mm (12.6 x 5.2 x 6.0 in)

Fiberglass (reinforcement material)
High-strength high-temp fiberglass (reinforcement material)
Kevlar® (reinforcement material)

Markforged X7 (offered through local manufacturing partner)
The industrial version of the Mark Two, the X7 offers a build volume nearly 3x the size with superior resolution and print speed. In addition, the X7 can perform in-process inspection via micron level laser scanning ensuring critical features meet your requirements.
Printed through our local manufacturing partner, the turnaround time for these parts is typically 1-2 weeks.
